After a long, cold winter, the first signs of spring are a welcome sight to gardeners. As temperatures climb and the risk of frost passes, you can begin to get your spring garden underway. Knowing when and where to plant is as important as figuring out what to plant. Try some or all of these veggies in your garden this season.
1. Peas
Peas are one of the first vegetables you can plant in the spring. The little guys don’t mind the cold, so you can put them out about 4 weeks before the last frost date in your area. Put them in an area that gets full sun, about 6 hours a day, for best results. The plants won’t last long, as they’ll start to shrivel as the temperatures heat up.
